How to supercharge building a product using new AI tools like ChatGPT/ Cursor and Claude

For a good long time I thought software engineers will lose their jobs. I don't think like that anymore.

I have been a software engineer for more than a decade now and never did I feel that my job would be in danger, but now I do. I am old enough to remember IBM releasing a product that could generate code based on the product’s diagram(?) one could provide. It is a reality now, faster than anyone anticipated. But will we lose jobs? Short answer is no.

Software engineers will still be relevant, although the number of jobs will likely reduce. (I am hoping that the law that says that increased efficiency in tools doesn’t reduce the usage of the tools, it would only increase it). So going by that measure, I imagine if AI tools can write software fast, we will only write more software, leading to the same amount of software engineering jobs.
